PAL was founded in 1960. Its primary purpose is to address the needs of youth labeled disadvantaged and/or at-risk and their potential negative involvement with law enforcement. PAL’s goal is to provide youth with opportunities to become involved in alternative activities to crime. PAL offers young people opportunities to enrich their self-esteem and team-building skills in a structured, non-threatening environment.
